Graduate Eligibility

Phase 01

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for Recruitment, an applicant must fulfill the following initial requirements to initiate the evaluation process:

Academic Qualification:
  • Hold a Diploma in Basic Education (DBE), Honours In Diploma (HND), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Masters Degree or any recognized education-related degree.
  • Have completed training from an accredited institution such as:
    • University of Education, Winneba
    • University of Cape Coast
    • Any accredited College of Education in Ghana.
National Service:
  • Completed National Service.
  • Possess a valid National Service Certificate.
Licensure Examination:
  • Passed the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination conducted by the National Teaching Council (NTC).
  • Have a valid teaching license number.
Other Requirements:
  • Ghana Card (National ID)
  • SSNIT number
  • Passport-size photographs

Phase 02

Online Application Process

Applications are submitted online through the official GES-GEDP recruitment portal. Please follow this step-by-step procedure:

Step 1: Access GEDP Recruitment Portal
  • Use the link provided or log on the gedp.gov.gh search for Recruitment Portal from External Portal.
  • Navigate to graduate applicant tab.
  • Click on Apply Here.
Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form

Provide accurate information including:

  • Personal details
  • Academic qualifications
  • NTC license number
  • National Service details
Step 3: Upload Documents
  • Certificates
  • Licensure certificate
  • National Service cert.
  • Ghana Card
Step 4: Finalize
  • Review details carefully.
  • Submit the form.
  • Print confirmation slip.

Phase 03

Shortlisting and Validation

After successfully submitting your application, the evaluation process begins:

  • GES screens applications to ensure all requirements are met.
  • GES approves and releases the list of Shortlisted applicants.

Phase 04

Posting and Appointment

Successful applicants will proceed to the final stage:

  • Receive official appointment letters from the Ghana Education Service.
  • Are posted to schools based on:
